BANDA ACEH — President Director Mawardi Nur said the Aceh-owned enterprise is now moving to capitalize on foundations built in 2025, when the company focused on strengthening corporate governance and refining its business portfolio.

“Entering 2026, our focus is on optimizing and accelerating performance,” Mawardi said during a post-Eid al-Fitr halal bihalal gathering at the company’s headquarters in Banda Aceh.

The event, which also included charity donations for orphans, served as a platform for the company to consolidate ties with government officials, lawmakers and business partners as it prepares for a more expansionary phase.

Mawardi said PEMA is rolling out a series of initiatives aimed at boosting revenue, including expanding coffee trading, increasing the value of sulfur commodities and optimizing fisheries-related businesses.

“We are determined to increase company revenue by fully utilizing the foundation built in the previous year,” he said.

In addition to its existing portfolio, the company is exploring opportunities in new energy sectors while seeking to strengthen income streams from the Arun Special Economic Zone, one of Aceh’s key industrial hubs.

Mawardi said achieving the company’s more aggressive targets would depend heavily on cross-sector collaboration, adding that PEMA is working to broaden partnerships and improve efficiency across its operations.

“We continue to encourage collaboration with strategic partners,” he said.

Representatives from the Aceh provincial government, the regional legislature and the Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency attended the gathering, alongside financial institutions such as Bank Syariah Indonesia and Bank Aceh Syariah, signalling institutional backing for the company’s expansion plans.
