JAKARTA — M. Naufal Natsir, PEMA’s business development director, affirmed the readiness of the enterprise from Indonesia’s westernmost province to collaborate, stating the goal was to boost investment in Aceh through international networks.

“Our presence here demonstrates our seriousness that economic investment relationships must be built by introducing Aceh's potential in major forums,” Mr. Naufal said in a statement.

The Arizona delegation was led by Tony Rivero, the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives. He was accompanied by six state legislators from various districts to open concrete opportunities for collaboration.

Mr. Rivero expressed appreciation for the warm reception from the Indonesian side and shared a specific idea he planned to take back.

“One idea we will bring home is the plan to establish a chamber of commerce between Arizona companies and Indonesian companies, and vice versa,” Mr. Rivero said.

The meeting, held at the Borobudur Hotel, was also attended by Dirgayuza Setiawan, a Special Assistant to the President. He conveyed the appreciation and full support of President Prabowo Subianto for the Arizona delegation's visit.

This central government support, he noted, is focused on developing investment in three primary cities: Batam, Bali, and Jakarta.

The meeting was seen as a strategic step to strengthen cross-sector partnerships between Indonesia and the United States, with collaboration being explored in various potential fields.

In addition to PEMA, several leaders from strategic and political institutions in Indonesia were present. Prof. Tatacipta, the Rector of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), also attended the meeting.

PEMA's presence signals the Aceh Government's commitment to opening itself to foreign investment. This move is expected to spur economic growth and technology transfer in the province.

Active participation in international forums has become PEMA's strategy for promoting Aceh's potential, with the technology sector being the primary focus offered for cooperation with Arizona.
